Rabbi Baruch Shimon Schneerson: (1913-1961) The great-grandson of Baruch Ta'am, the son-in-law of Rabbi Dov Berish Weinfeld, was a Torah genius, Rosh Yeshivat Teshbin, a member of the Council of Torah Sages, Of the Vaad HaYeshivot, and served for a certain period as head of Yeshivat Tomchei Tmimim Lod, was personally close to Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Admor of Chabad, and was accepted as an individual. Even during the years that the Rebbe stopped receiving Yeshivot, after the demise of his father- To appoint him as a member of the Council of Torah Sages instead of his father-in-law.
