Study of Palestine. Contains 15 engraved plates (of which six are folded. Missing one plate), including maps and plans, an engraved frontispiece and a number of additional small engravings in the text.
Two volumes, 20 cm. Vol. I: [5] leaves, 511, [1] pp + [14] engraved plates. Vol. II: [2] leaves, [515]-1068 pp, [47] leaves + [1] engraved plate. One engraved plate is missing (folded plate with the author's portrait) and one of the folded plates is detached and torn. Good overall condition. Some stains. Some of the engraved plates are narrower than the book's other leaves. Small tears to some of the folded plates. Corner missing from one of the leaves of the second volume (without damage to text). Fine leather bindings (with defects).
