An ancient Jewish-Babylonian incantation bowl with an outward spiraling text inscription around an interior cross in eight lines with four Biblical quotations including the Shema. Diam: 7 inches (18 cm).
6th-7th century CE.
Transcription in Aramaic, along with English translation prepared by Prof. James Nathan Ford (Bar-Ilan University) available upon request.
