1st century CE. Brown slip. The discus is decorated with Zeus Serapis, as Hades, seated on the throne, holding trident and resting hand on Cerberus, the three-headed dog. On the bottom, stamp MNOVIVSTI. In very good condition. 12.3 cm. For a similar lamp from Manchester Museum, see: J.W. Hayes, Ancient Lamps in the Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto, 1980, p. 183.
