Such a handwritten letter by the Rebbe is extremely rare (his letters were usually written by a scribe) and has never been seen in auctions!
The letter is addressed to Rabbi Ben Zion Meir Chai Uziel, then the Rabbi of Tel Aviv. In the letter, the Rebbe thanks Rabbi Uziel for his book, which the Rebbe had received. The date the letter was received was handwritten on the lower part of the letter by Rabbi Uziel.
Practically all letters that exist today by the Rebbe are greetings to his hassidim. Here is a rare religious letter. Among others, the Rebbe writes: "I have read several of the responses … and I have found nice, beneficial and logical things…"
Written on large official stationery. 27 cm.
