Two Letters by Rabbi Chaim Michael Dov Weissmandel – 1952
Letter handwritten and signed by him, 1953. 22 lines. Written on both sides of the leaf.
Printed letter signed by him from 1922.
Letters by him are extremely rare!
Rabbi Weissmandel rescued many Jews during the Holocaust. Even before World War II, he acted in favor of Jews in trouble, in favor of Rabbis who were exiled from Austria and in favor of Jews who were expelled by the Hungarians.
In 1960, Rabbi Weissmandel's book "Min Ha'Metzar" was published, documenting his activities during World War II.
