Long letter handwritten and signed by Rabbi Pinchas Hirschprong. Japan, to Rabbi Moshe Rothenberg, Ram of the Yeshivat Chachmei Lublin of Detroit. Not dated. Content: Obtaining visas from the American consul.
A leaf written on both its sides. At the end of the second page, a Yiddish addition by a different writer.

A leaf written on both its sides. On the margins of the second page, an additiona of two lines handwritten and signed by Rabbi Herschberg.

Rabbi Pinchas Hirschprong and Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Herschberg were leading and beloved disciples of Rabbi Meir Shapira in the Yeshivat Chachmei Lublin. With the outbreak of World War I, they escaped with a group of students of Yeshivat Chachmei Lublin to Vilnius and later to Japan and Shanghai. In October 1941 they left for Montreal, Canada.
