Large, Important Archive of Letters by the Rabbis of Hungary – the 1740's – 1840's
A large, important collection of letters and documents by the most prominent rabbis of Hungary, including among others: Rabbi Eliezer Deutsch, Rabbi David Deutsch, Rabbi Alexander Moshe, Rabbi Shalom Eisenbach, Rabbi Shlomo Friedman and many more. A significant part of these letters has never been printed. The letters were kept for many years in the personal archive of one of the rabbis of Hungary. Approximately fifty leaves.
The writers of some of the letters have not been identified. A comprehensive study of the letters and documents might reveal important discoveries.
