Volume of Lessons Handwritten by Rabbi Yechezkel Sarna the Head of the 'Hebron' Yeshiva – 1940
Approximately 260 pages handwritten by the head of the Hebron Yeshiva, Rabbi Yechezkel Sarna, on the tractates of the Talmud. A unique item of immense religious value!
Added to the volume are several leaves written by one of his disciples of the editor before its printing.
At the beginning of some of the lessons, Rabbi Sarna wrote "Not to be printed".
Many erasures and additions handwritten by him and by the editor, in blue pen.
The first lessons are from 1940, others from 1944 and single lessons from the 1960's, written with blue pen (maybe not by Rabbi Sarna).
The lessons were written on Rabbi Sarna's official stationery. All the leaves are bound together with a hard binding.
Rabbi Yechezkel Sarna (1889-1969) was an outstanding Torah and Mussar scholar. He was a disciple of the "Alter of Slabodka", Rabbi Natan Zvi Finkel, and the son-in-law of Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Epstein, the head of the "Knesset Yisrael" Yeshiva in Slabodka. Rabbi Yechezkel was one of the founders of the branch of the yeshiva in Hebron. In 1934, after his father-in-law's death, he officially replaced him as the head of the yeshiva. He was one of the heads of "Moetzet Gedolei Ha'Torah".
