Halachic Ruling Handwritten and Signed by Rabbi Eliyahu Ha'Tzarfati Av Beit Din and Ram of Fes, the Disciple of the Author of "Or Ha'Chaim" – 1789
A folded leaf, written on three pages. Thick paper. Size of page: 10x15cm.
Rabbi Eliyahu Tzarfati (1715-1805) studied with Rabbi Yehuda Ben Atar and his relative Rabbi Chaim Ben Atar author of "Or Ha'Chaim". In 1750 Chacham ya;akov Even Tzur, Av Beit Din of Fes, appointed him Dayan of a Beit Din of Five, which included five prominent rabbis of the city of Fes who answered halachic questions, wrote and edited hundreds of Hallachic rulings.
Condition: Fair-Good. Stains and tears. Moth signs.
