Oneg Shabbat – Lvov, 1793 – First Edition – by Rabbi Aharon Ha'Cohen of Opatow, Author of "Keter Shem Tov" – an Extremely Rare Book
Oneg Shabbat. "On the 24 chapters of the Shabbat Tractate … and they hint at the stories of the book Mikdash Ha'Shabbat".
Lvov, 1793. First edition. By Rabbi Aharon Ha'Cohen of Opatow, the disciple of the Maggid of Mezeritch and author of "Keter Shem Tov" that was printed in 1794.
An extremely rare book! One of the first Hassidic books that were printed. Naturally, not many copies of the book were printed and of those, many were lost or destroyed by those who objected to Hassidism. Stefansky Hassidut, no. 457.
Originally: [21] leaves. The copy before us: [18] leaves. The last three leaves have been completed with a photocopy.
Condition: good. Stains. New binding. Minor moth signs. Thick leaves.
