Commentary of Sefer Mitzvot Gadol – Venice, 1605 – Approbation by the Maharsah! – Single Edition – Signed Gloss
Commentary on "Mitzvat Loh Ta'aseh" of Sefer Mitzvot Gadol. By Rabbi Yosef ben Rabbi Moshe of Kremnitz. Venice, 1605. Single edition.
At the beginning of the book, a rare approbation signed by the most prominent rabbis including the Maharsha and Rabbi Mordechai Yaffe 'Ba'al Ha'Levushim'.
In his preface, the author recalls that he wrote nothing of himself but what he had received from his rabbis, the Rama being one of them.
On leaf 18, a gloss in ancient script: "See the book Shibolei Ha'Leket…" The gloss is signed: Z.H.
76 leaves.
Condition: Good. Reasonable time stains. A moth signs that caused an omission of two words on every leaf. Restored with old duct tape. Additional moth signs with almost no damage to text. Additional restorations of the first leaves. Nice new binding.
