Rare transcript of correspondence between R. Boruch Jeitles and R. Betzalel Ranshburg. Consisting of a lengthy transcript of novella on Hilchos Niddah from R. Boruch Jeitles with a note at the end written by R. Boruch Jeitles (not signed), and a transcript of R. Betzalel Ranshbourg lengthy reply. This is of particular importance as both were famous for the expertise in Hilchos Niddah.
R. Betzalel Ranshbourg (1762-1821) was a prize talmid of R. Leib Fishelis and the Noda B’Yehuda. He served as a Dayan in Prague alongside his Rebbe the Noda B’Yehuda, and was renowned as an extraordinary Talmid Chochom and Posek. Author of Hoirai Gever, Sdai Tzofim and Pischay Niddah (Chochmas Betzalel).
R. Boruch Jeitles (1762-1814) was a member of a distinguished family in Prague and was a Talmid of the Noda B’Yehuda. In addition to being a great Talmid Chochom he was also knowledgeable in the sciences and served as doctor in Prague. Author of Ta’am Ha’Melech on the Sha’ar Ha’Melech.
