Halachic responsa on the four sections of the Shulchan Oruch by R. Aaron Moshe Kisilov, Chief Rabbi of Harbin. Shortly before World War I, a small Jewish community was established by Russian Jews in
the city of Harbin, Japan. The first and last Rav of the congregation was R. Aaron Moshe Kisilov (1866-1949), who was a disciple of the “Gadol of Minsk” and R. Chaim Soloveitchik. He arrived in Harbin in 1913 after serving for many years in the Borisov Rabbinate in the district of Minsk. In 1937 he was appointed Chief Rabbi of all the congregations in the Far East. Following the Chinese conquest of the city from the Japanese and the establishment of Communist rule in China, the Hebrew congregation in Harbin was dissolved.
The only halachic work printed in the entire region.
