Prayer for Salvation of the Settlement and the Jewish People 'Must be Treated with Respect Exactly Like a Torah Scroll'

Prayer for salvation of the Settlement and the Jewish people composed by Rabbi Shalom Shabazi and found in the book HaMargalit - The segulah of the prayer is to be saved from every trouble and distress, disrupt [bad] advice and cancellation of decrees. Name combinations, angel's names, blowing of the shofar.

In the introduction to the full prayer with name combinations and angel's names, the 'mishtadel' gives meticulous instructions: "We hope and wish that each one receives it and guards it like the pupil of his eye. As it has many Holy Names. And it must be treated with respect exactly like a Torah scroll ... and it should be said ten times. And blow three (shofar) sounds each time and it can be said on Shabbat without blowing the shofar." The content of the prayer refers to all 'enemies, those lying in wait, haters, informers, and rulers' who 'plan evil to damage or rule over all the Jews living in the Land of Israel."

The prayer was printed while there was an existential threat to the inhabitants of the Land of Israel [the '48 war?] and a request in its margins reads 'the public should pray this always, on weekdays and Shabbats until the rage passes.'

The prayer was published 'with the initiative of he who makes an effort, Yosef David - Shaarei Tziyon Bet Synangogue,' without the name of the printer.

Size: 35x25 cm. Tears in the margins. Fold mark. Fine condition.
