Appeal to Save the Spirituality of the New Immigrant Children by Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer

'Appeal to save the spirituality of the children of the immigrants from the Eidot HaMizrach by the great Gaon, senior Rosh Yeshiva, Reb Isser Zalman Meltzer.' Jerusalem, 1952. Rare.

Letter printed in the form of an aerogram in which Reb Isser Zalman appeals for help rescuing the children of the immigrants from the claws of irreligious education, by directing them to Torani educational institutions, particularly for the immigrants from the North African countries: "Since many Diasporas have been gathered, particularly from North Africa ... the breachers have come and desecrated them with many deeds, and they are stealing their sons and daughters from them, and force them to rebel against the foundations of our forefathers and uproot from their heart every spark of belief in Hash-m and His Torah. Woe to the eyes that see this and the ears that hear this ... the blood of the children of the new immigrants have been abandoned to be turned into heretics ... and their blood and the blood of their children until the end of time is screaming to us from the ... of their souls ... Save us!" Rabbi Meltzer than addresses the public: "Each and every one of us is obligated to give of their time, at least two weeks a year, to dedicate himself to this holy rescue work ... particularly during these days, when children are registering in schools in this country, when their fate is determined for a life of Torah and belief in Hash-m, or Heaven forbid, the opposite ..."

The back of the appeal has blank lines with the word "L'Kavod" [Dear ...] to be filled in with the name of the person to whom this letter was sent.

Rare brochure that is not in the National Library and is not listed bibliographically.

When leaf is open: 20x31 cm. Tear about 4 cm. Light marginal tears. Fine condition.
