Important Collection of Stamps from Around the World and Israel
Professional collection of stamps collected over many years, in three groups:
* One group includes stamp albums from around the world, arranged according to their country of origin. Most are early, from the 19th and first half of the 20th century:
Stamps from a series of early presidents of the United States in different denominations, Black Penny stamps - from the first series of stamps ever issued [by the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, c. 1840] - includes red stamps from the second series. Stamps from: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Cuba, Costa Rica, early stamps from Colombia, Mexico, Australia, France, North Africa, Egypt, Aden, Turkey, India, Germany [including stamps from the Nazi era], Italy, England, Denmark, Holland, Latvia, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Romania, Palestine, Ottoman Empire, Syria, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Tunis, Far East, tens of early stamps from Helvetia, Yemen, Japan [Imperial Japanese Post], Olympic stamps and more.
* The second group consists of two albums with early series of stamps from around the world, arranged by subject. Dozens of stamps on each subject: ships and seamanship, airmail stamps, planes and pilots, flags and country emblems, sports and athletes, sites and buildings, mammals and animals, vegetation and flowers.
* The third group consists of stamps from Israel and Palestine, including Doar Ivri stamps in different denominations with tabs, coins of the Second Temple, twelve tribes, holidays, presidents and personalities, Israeli sports, vegetation, military and more.
Also includes assorted stamps in envelopes.
The great majority of the stamps are from the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century. The collection was gathered carefully and methodically over years by one collector. However, we have not done a thorough check of the collection.
Eight albums in total and two containers with assorted stamps.
