Five rare postcards - Theodor Herzl, beginning of the 20th century.

* Printed postcard with an invitation to a memorial evening for Theodor Herzl, by the Zionist Union of Eastern France. Metz July 1933. Union Regionale des Sionistes de L'est de la France, Groupement de Metz. French and German.

* Postcard depicting pictures of the great zionist activists with the 'thinkers' facing the 'doers.' Depicting two stars of David on the right and left. On the right, in the center, a picture of Herzl is surrounded by zionist thinkers [Bialik, Dr. Blum and others], with 'The Idea' written on top. On the left, a star of David with an image of the high commissioner surrounded by five practical zionist activists [Trumpeldor, Weitzmann, and others] and 'The Action' written. Postcard blemished and torn in its margins. Not posted.

* Postcard depicting Herzl's image against a backdrop of pilgrims, facing an imaginary angel holding an Israel flag, his book Medinat HaYehudaim beside him and 'If you desire it, it is no dream' written. Hebrew and German. Printed in Germany [Cologne] - published by Judischen Nationalfonds. Fold mark across the length of the postcard.

* Postcard with a printed photograph of Dr. Herzl (in white clothing) in Beit Stern on 83 Mamilla Street during his 1898 visit to Jerusalem. Special format: 11x13 cm.
