Important Letter from Rabbi Yechezkel Levenstein. 'There's a Lot to Learn from This Letter'
Important letter in the handwriting and with the signature of the mashgiach Rabbi Yechezkel Levenstein, sent to Rabbi Shmuel Hominer in 1967.
Rabbi Levenstein informs Rabbi Hominer in his letter that he is sending him five hundred liras, as an introduction, Rabbi Levenstein writes; "Certainly here ... is what to do now, just to snatch and do everything that is in our hands to do ... to do His will in the matter now," with respect to these words, Rabbi Hominer wrote "There's a lot to be learned from this letter." on the top of the page, after the date of the letter.
Rabbi Yechezkel Levenstein [1885 - 1974], among the great mussar personalites, learned in Kelm, earned the title "The Mashgiach," and educated thousands of students. Served as the spiritual guide in the Mir Yeshiva, and afterwards as mashgiach in the Ponovezh Yeshiva. His articles were published in Ohr Yechezkel.
The tzaddik Rabbi Shmuel Hominer [1914-1977], of the glorious personalities of Jerusalem, tremendous scholar and tzaddik and 'True Servant of G-d' as described by the mashgiach. Authored well-known books, such as Ikrei Dinim on the laws of slander, on whose basis he was called "The Little Chafetz Chaim."
