The name of the author according to the title page is "Pinchas Chananyahu Argozi Di Dilva" and the place of printing is Salonika. Yet, the book is usually attributed to Baruch Jeitteles of Prague, who was accused by Rabbi Shmuel Landau of plagiarism (the book presents Rabbi Landau's position and the author's response to the accusations), and the place of printing as Vienna.
