LEVI-STRAUSS CLAUDE : (1908-2009) French Anthropologist. Widely considered the Father of Modern Anthropology. T.L.S., Levi Strauss, one page, 4to, Paris, 14th March 1989, on the Social Laboratory of Anthropology printed stationery, to James L. Harmon. Levi-Strauss thanks his correspondent for his letter and states in part `I am by far too old to make recommendations to the young people of today. Anything I could say would prove to be wrong !´ Accompanied by the original printed stationery laboratory envelope. Very small tear to the upper edge, otherwise VG £80-100
