Sepher Zevach Pesach. With commentary by Isaac Abarbanel.

DELUXE COPY, PRINTED ENTIRELY ON BLUE PAPER. ff. 64. Tile-page provided in facsimile, f. 47 torn, few neat repairs, leaves with natural paper faults. Modern blind-tooled morocco over thick wooden boards. Housed in custom slip-case. Sm. 4to. Yudlov, 19; Yaari, 17; Yerushalmi, pl. 21.

Vincenzo Conti, Cremona: 1557.

RARE, BIBLIOPHILIC EDITION. PRINTED ENTIRELY ON BLUE PAPER.

Tipped into the volume is a note from the Librarian of the Valmadonna Trust recounting that The British Library’s Dr. Peter Lawson observed the “blotching” on the pages of this blue-paper copy was due to a chemical reaction to the dying process and that the printing occurred thereafter.
Soon after this Hagadah was printed the Church-sponsored burning of the Talmud occurred in Cremona and Vicenzo Conti`s Hebrew press was destroyed.
