Ten Important Letters Handwritten by Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Ha'Cohen Kook – Five of Them Dealing with the Saving of Students of the Lithuanian Yeshivas and Brining Them to the Land of Israel
During his last years, on the eve of the Holocaust, Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Ha'Cohen Kook devoted his time to an attempt to rescue yeshiva students of Lithuania and Poland by bringing them to the Land of Israel by means of certificates he had obtained for them from the British. After they were brought to Israel, they all studied at his yeshiva of 'Merkaz Ha'Rav'. Some of those students later became prominent rabbis.
Five unknown letters shed additional light on this "Rescue enterprise" of Rabbi Kook:
A. Letter handwritten and signed by Rabbi Kook to the members of Ha'Poel Ha'Mizrachi from the 26th of Nissan 1934.
B. Letter signed by Rabbi Kook and with his stamp to Rabbi Sheragai, one of the leaders of Ha'Poel Ha'Mizrachi. The 21st of Tamuz 1934.
C. Letter signed by Rabbi Kook and with his stamp to Ha'Poel Ha'Mizrachi. The 11th of Kislev 1934.
D. Letter handwritten and signed by Rabbi Kook to Rabbi Sheragai. The 24th of Cheshvan 1934.
E. Letter handwritten and signed by Rabbi Kook to Rabbi Zalman Soloveitchik of 'Ha'Va'ad Ha'Klali'. The 10th of Iyar 1932.

In addition, five important letters by Rabbi Kook on public matters:

At the end of the letter, an addition of two lines handwritten and signed by Rabbi Kook, the Rabbi of Jaffa, and with his stamp. The 14th of Iyar 1910. Rare! A large folded leaf, written on the first page only.
G. Letter handwritten and signed by Rabbi Kook to the member of Ha'Va'ad Ha'Klali, Rabbi Noah Gedalya Broder. The 19th of Av 1928.
H. Long letter handwritten and signed by Rabbi Kook to Rabbi Sheragai. Tamuz 1934.

Rabbi Kook's signature and the signature of the secretary Rabbi Shmuel Aharon Shazuri. Stamp of the Chief Rabbinate. At the beginning of the leaf: "Copying".
