Letter Signed by the Rebbe Rabbi David of Zlotopoly
Letter of recommendation for a Hassid who wanted to immigrate to the Land of Israel. The 1890's. The Rebbe's signature appears on the margins of the letter: "David son of the well-known Rabbi Yochanan".
The Rebbe Rabbi David Twersky of Zlotopoly (1837-1915) was the eldest son of the Rebbe Rabbi Yochanana of Rachmastrivka. Served as the Rebbe of Zlotopoly and had many Hassidim. His son-in-law was the nephew of Rabbi Yisrael of Stolin.
