Important Collection of Manuscripts on Halacha, Kabbala and Piyyutim – the 18th-19th Centuries – Western Rabbis and the Geniuses of Jerusalem
Collection of important manuscripts:
Copying of the first edition of the book "Kol Ya'akov' by Rabbi Ya'akov Kopel Margalit, which was printed in Venice, 1658. This edition included thirteen leaves. Before us are 15 leaves written on both their sides. Western script. [the 18th century?].
The lament for "The killed scholars of Polania" was not copied and in its place there is another religious essay. The Piyyut 'Dodi lo Yarad Le'Gano' is also missing. Then, the author's final words were copied. After them appears an apology by the copyist of the manuscript. On leaf 5 there is a complete passage that does not appear in the book. It is erased with a line (yet readable). Then there is a copying (by a different copyist) of the essay 'Sanhedrin Le'Ma'alat Ha'Tshuva' from the book 'Halichot Eli; by Rabbi Shlomo Algazi which was printed in Izmir in 1658.
Then there are several quotations from the Talmud about the virtue of eulogizing a Torah scholar. The next leaves contain many Derashot on Torah verses and Midrashim by the Sages – which most likely have never been printed! 11 leaves written on both their sides. Western script [the 18th century].
The next leaves contain a copying from the commentary by Rabbi Ya'akov Bata'an (one of the most prominent rabbis of Morocco two hundred years ago) on the Midrashim of the Sages (they were printed for the first time in the book Chidushei Ha'Gaon Rabbi Ya'akov Bata'an, 1995). There are changed from the printed version! On one of the sentences, marks of erasure. Three leaves written on both their sides. Western script [the 18th century].
18 cm.
Condition: moth signs on all the leaves, however they have been reasonably restored. Small omissions of text. New binding.

Sefer Segulot copied from different books. Jerusalem, the 19th century. Paper notebook with ten leaves written on both their sides. 21 cm. Condition: Very Good. New binding.

Copying of the book 'Me'arat Sdeh Ha'Machpela' by Rabbi Moshe Even Tzur, which was printed in Jerusalem in 1910. The copying is from the 19th century. The beginning and end are missing. 54 leaves. Condition: Good.

"Piyyutim Le'Harav Aharon Azriel", Piyyutim by Rabbi Aharon Azriel (1819-1879), the head of the 'Beit El' Kabbalistic yeshiva in the Old City of Jerusalem. Before us is a copying of his Piyyutim that was most likely done in the years before his death.
On the two last pages, in a different script, the Piyyut "Bar Yochai" by Rabbi Ya'akov Abuhatzeira. The order of the verses differs from their familiar order! The final verse is completely unknown. 20 cm. condition: Good.

Manuscript, segment copied from Pri Etz Chaim by Rabbi Chaim Vital, chapters from the Shabbat section and the Berachot section. Cursive script [the 19th century].
There are textual variations. Possibly, this is a re-editing of the compisition for a certain purpose. Signs of erasure and lingual corrections.13 leaves written on both their sides. 20 cm. Condition: Good. Stains and wear.

Manuscript, a notebook with a new binding. Piyyutim which are said during the prayers of Rosh Ha'Shana and Yom Kippur according to the custom of the Sephardim. Cursive writing [the 19th century].
