The Bible. Leipzig (Germany) 1740. Hebrew and Latin page-by-page. Nice copper-etched title page with an illustration of Moses and Aharon with the Tabernacle between them. Additional, impressive copper-etched leaves throughout the book.
Ancient ownership inscription in a foreign language from the time of printing. Scholarly glosses (in Latin with Hebrew words) on the margins of the leaves. Have not been studied at all. Some of the glosses are exceptionally long!
On the title page of the book, a stamp of a German synagogue.
