Igeret Ketz Chai – Czernowitz 1862 – First, Rare Edition – Does not Appear in Libraries in Israel and has Never been Seen in Auctions – the Copy of the Rebbe of Bichov-Izbica
Igeret Ketz Chai "True and pleasant sayings … by the well-known Divine genius and Kabbalist Rabbi Yitzchak Chayut". Rabbi Yitzchak Chayut was Av Beit Din of Skali and a disciple of Rabbi Heschel of Krakow. Legendary stories are told of his supreme holiness.
The book also contains a Hassidic composition titled 'Ma'aseh Ha'Tzddaka' by Rabbi Nachman [Zvi Ha'Levi] Epstein Av Beit Din of Kalimia, who was a disciple of the Ba'al Shem Tov.
Czernowitz, 1862. First Edition. (A previous Yiddish edition was printed in Frankfurt an der Oder in 1732. This is the first Hebrew edition). Stefansky, Chassidut no. 13.
Hebrew with Yiddish vowelized translation on the margins of the pages.
The rhymed composition is written in lyric language and is alphabetically ordered. Written by Rabbi Yisrael natan Alter, as he had heard from his Hassid father Rabbi Chaim Yosef of Pistyn author of 'Tosafot Chaim'.

The rareness of the book
This first edition is extremely rare. It does not appear in libraries in Israel. The Bibliography of the Hebrew Book recorded the book according to a copy of the British Library.

The copy of the Rebbe of Izbica
On the title page of the book, there is a signature: "Natan Ari". This is most likely the signature of the Rebbe of Izbica.
Rabbi Natan Aryeh Rabinowitz, the son of Rabbi Chaim Gedalya of Bichov and the great-grandson of the Ha'Yehudi Ha'Kadosh of Pschischa.
