A glass bottle produced by the Jewish alchohol factory Jakob Haberfeld, Oswiecim [Poland]. Early 20th century.
On the front is a relief of the Haberfeld family symbol and the writing: Jakob Haberfeld, Oswiecim.
The Dampffabrik Feiner Liqueure Jakob Haberfeld (Jakob Haberfeld Liquor Factory) was established in 1804, and operated under the management of the Haberfeld family until the Second World War. The members of the family were sent to the Auschwitz concentration camp, thus bringing the ending the era of the factory to a close.
