First day cover of Tel Aviv Jubilee stamp, 26 Nissan 5719 (1959), with the personal signature of Nachum Gutman, and a special stamp with the words: "Hebrew Gymnasia Herzliya, Tel Aviv" and a sketch of the school.
Gutman (1898-1980) was a painter, sculptor and an Israeli writer. He studied art at “Bezalel”. Illustrated hundreds of books. The documentation and conservation work of the early days of Tel Aviv had a special place in his work. His paintings, which were drawn decades after the founding of the city, bring the city, its history, its people and houses back to life.
Condition: Very good.
