1. Condolence letter handwritten by Anna Ticho to her friend, dated 30.9.1941. "There are no words to comfort ... You and your respected family, please accept my feelings on your heavy mourning."
2. Prescription for eye drops from the clinic of Dr. Ticho.
Anna Ticho (1894-1980), an Israeli painter, Israel Prize laureate. Lived in Jerusalem and worked as a nurse in her husband's, Dr. Abraham Albert Ticho, eye clinic. She often paint the landscapes of Jerusalem. Her paintings are displayed in museums around the world. She hosted at her house the elite of city residents, leaders, artists and intellectuals. Towards the end of her life she decided to donate the house, together with the large art collection within, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the Tycho House is now a branch of the Israel Museum.
3. Letter handwritten by Chana Orloff, on her official letterhead, dated 14.10.1966 to "My dear Nechama"
Chana Orloff (1888-1968), a Jewish sculptor, prominent in her day. Born in Ukraine, immigrated to Israel with her family and lived most of her life in Paris, France, taking long trips to Israel. One of the most famous of her works: a monument to Dov Gruner in Ramat Gan. Died and is buried in Israel.
4. Letter from Yehoshua Hankin, including his signature, dated 19.04.1929, on the official paper of the Society of Gan Hayim, to the Society of Agricultural Engineering, regarding construction costs.
Yehoshua Hankin (1864-1945), Saviour of valley lands, purchased land for Jewish settlement there. Was director of Hachsharat Hayishuv.
The Society for Agricultural Engineering was an importer of tractors and farm equipment from America.
5. Letter from Avraham Burg, signed by him, dated 05/20/1991, in which he addresses the chairman of the Knesset on the closing of businesses on the Sabbath.
Avraham Burg (born 1955), Israeli politician. Was an MK for the Labor Party, the 15th Knesset Speaker and Chairman of the Jewish Agency.
All items in very good condition, some with traces of folding.
