Purchase Bill in Eretz Naftali, Tadhatz Association, 1938
The Tadhatz Association (Torah, Religion, Kindness and Charity) was founded by Rabbi Yosef Levi Chagiz (Haredi lobbyist, Born in Jerusalem, lived in Tiberias), dealt in various activities and was affiliated with the Association of Workers of Israel (Pag”i).
This document was part of an attempt by the society to establish a Haredi settlement by the name Eretz Naftali, near Tiberias, which led to a severe conflict between Tadhatz and Pagi. Eventually, the settlement was established in the Galilee, southeast of Karney Hittin, in 1949. The colonists wanted to farm while living in Haredi lifestyle, but lacking any agricultural experience, it did not go well, and finally the settlement was abandoned.
