Volume of issues of the weekly Bustanai (gardener)
Volume binding the issues the first year (1929-1930) of the weekly Bustanai, the magazine of the Association of Farmers in Judea and Samaria, edited by Moshe Smilansky, Tuvia Susskind Miller and Pessach Ginsburg. Published 1929 – 1939.
The magazine included op-eds, news and articles about internal politics of the Farmers Association, popular science articles on agriculture, zoology and botany as well as stories and poems by colonists. Of particular interest is their perception of Arabs living in Israel. The issue of the month of Av has a description of the 1929 riots in Rehovot.
It should be noted that only in the first year it was called the Farmers Association newspaper in Judea and Samaria, after that it was changed to Farmers Association in Israel.
