1. Stenography for Hebrew, Ya'akov Maimon, 1938.
The booklet explains how to adapt to Hebrew the international stenography method of Felix von Konovsky.
Ya'akov Maimon (Wasermann) (1902-1977) immigrated to Israel from Latvia in 1921. Since the twenties, Maimon developed a method for Hebrew stenography. In 1929, he published the first edition of the book 'Hebrew Stenography'. He was invited by Ben-Gurion to serve as a stenograph for the institutions of the Yishuv and for Mapai. He was also invited to participate in Zionist congresses in Europe during the thirties. With the establishment of the State, he was the first stenograph of the Israeli government and wrote down the meetings of the government and the Knesset. Since the fifties until his death, he volunteered to teach Hebrew to new immigrants. He received the Worthy Citizen of Jerusalem decoration and won the Israel Prize in 1976 for special contribution to the State.
