On the front of the note there is an illustration of Ulysses Simpson Grant, the general of the Confederate army in the last years of the American civil war and the 18th USA president.
On 17.2.1862, Grant signed a decree ordering the banishment of Jews from Tennessee, which was cancelled only after a desperate appeal to President Lincoln.
Two original signatures at the front of the banknote.
The serial number on the note is in brown D 004367 A. In addition, the number 5550 is printed in black in two places on the banknote. On the back of the note there is an illustration of the White House.
