Correspondence and documents related to an immigration visa to the USA for a Jewish family, Mendel and Rachel Zehnwirth.
Among the documents, a letter signed by the secretary of Va'ad Ha'Hatzala, Rabbi Ya'akov Karlinski, a letter by Rabbi Shmuel Shechter, letters sent to the government by relatives of the couple, citizens of the USA, describing the couple's financial situation and their concern for their relatives who had survived the horrors of the Holocaust.
The couple eventually received the visa yet had to wait several more months since the woman was about to give birth.
A total of 23 documents, some of them photocopied and some blurry.
