Sidrei Taharot. Admor of Radzin. Jozefow – Piotrkow [1873-1903]. First Edition
Mishnayot Keilim V'Ahalot arranged like Talmudical tractates by Admor Rabbi Gershon Chaonch Henoch Leiner of Radzin. First edition. Two volumes:
[A] Tractate Keilim. Jozefow, 1873. [1], 546 pages. 35 cm. Without the map at the conclusion.
[B] Tractate Ohalot. Piotrkow, [1903]. [8], 546 pages, 35 cm.
Monumental work of the Admor of Radzin, which he started at a very young age. The Admor was known for reinstituting the "tichelet" thread on tzitzit.
Many approbations from leading Torah personalities appear at the beginning of the work. However, opponents maintained that over the course of time people would mistakenly believe that it was really part of the Talmud. Therefore, as per the recommendation of Rabbi Chaim of Brisk, the second volume featured the words "Sefer Sidrei Teharot" at the top of each page and the words "Milukat Midivrei HaTanaim V'Hamoraim" at the bottom.
New, half-leather bindings. The bottom section of the title page of Tractate Keilim has been professionally replaced, with blemishes to the two next leaves. Minimal worming holes. Aging stains. Fine-very fine condition. Stefansky, Chassidut 434.
