Mishpat Yerushas Misrah. Only edition. Kovno 1926.
Extremely scarce pamphlet dealing with the halachic laws of inheritance in respect of rabbinical appointments. Including the laws concerning sons in law inheriting rabbinical appointments as well as whether a Rav may transfer his position to a child during his lifetime. Authored by R. Yosef Zusmanowitz son in law of R. Moshe Mordechai Epstein of Slabodka.
In 1924 R. Moshe Mordechai Epstein who served as Rav and Rosh Yeshiva in Slabodka emigrated together with a large part of the Yeshiva to Eretz Yisroel settling in Chevron. In his place he appointed his son in law R. Yosef Zusmanowitz, who was renowned as great Talmid Chochom and Illui. This appointment was opposed by R. Isaac Sher (son in law of the Alter of Slabodka) and R. Avrohom Grodzensky. The opposing faction appointed a distinguished Talmid Chochom, R. Shlomo Zalman Ossowski as Rav and Rosh Yeshiva. Eventually the dispute was adjudicated R. Chaim Ozer Grodzinski.
The issues raised in this sefer remain pertinent today and are often points of contention in Dinei Torah.
