“Chofetz Chaim al haTorah” – with a dedication from the publisher, his student, R’ Shmuel Greineman

: The Chofetz Chaim on the Torah, first edition [New York, 1943] explanations which were said by Rabbi Yisroel Meir HaKohen, the author of “Chofetz Chaim”, to his student, Rabbi Shmuel Greineman, who published them. At the beginning of the book is a manuscript dedication by R’ Shmuel Greineman to Rabbi Naftali Hertz Livazer, Chief Military Chaplain in the United States.

Rabbi Shmuel Greinemann (1889 – 1957) was a rabbi and communal worker in Lithuania, Eretz Yisroel, and the United States. He was one of the closest disciples of the Chofetz Chaim and of Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzenski. He was one of the founders of the “Vaad Hayeshivos” in Vilna and one of its main activists, and the founder of “Merkaz Chinuch haTorah” in Eretz Yisroel. He published the works of his brother-in-law, the Chazon Ish.

In very good condition, the spine of the binding is almost completely separated.
