Rare. Zhitomir. Set of Chok L'Yisrael, 1857. Signature of R' Chaim Yaakov Sher and additional signatures.
Complete set of 5 volumes. Each part has 2 title pages, and the first title page features some letters in red ink.
Signatures by R' Chaim Yaakov Sher; R' Avraham Yitzchak Shtesl, disciple of the saintly Rav Aharon Roth; Rav Moshe Eisenberg; R' Yaakov ben R' Leib Eisenberg, grandson of the deceased R' Noach Chamsker.
In Vol. III Vayikra, pages 1-8 inclusive ae bound between pages 200 and 201.
Vol IV Devarim, is slightly incomplete. Missing pages 9-24, inclusive, as well as a few pages at the end. Concludes on page 472 (Vezos Habrachah, Friday). Vol. Devarim is not in the National Library, and the Computerized Thesaurus of the Hebrew Book writes that the volume contains 262 pages (only). 20 cm.
Old, simple binding. Stains. Some moth damage, some tears and taping. Final page of Vol. IV is torn and taped, with damage to text. Good condition.
