Yad Moshe, sermons delivered by the author every Shabbat and on festivals, with eulogies on great Rabbis, and compilations of Torah thoughts, including discussions with Rabbis and emissaries of the Land of Israel with whom the author conducted discussions in his youth. Salonika, 1751 – single edition.
On the rear side of the title page is the introduction of the author’s brother Rabbi Aharon Amarillo, as well as the introduction of the author’s nephew Rabbi Shlomo Amarillo and of the author’s son Rabbi Shmuel Amarillo. The book mainly contains eulogies (for a description of the content refer to: Wachstein, Catalog Minchat Shlomo 1, no. 64). At the end of the book is a colophon, “And the work was completed on the Fast of Esther of our year 1753”. The earliest sermon in the book is from 1718 and the last is from 1742.
In the book are three scholarly handwritten comments, two paragraphs begin with the words E”sh [Shlomo/Shmuel said], perhaps this is the author’s son or nephew
On the book’s title page is an inscription to the Study House Shmuel Piso.
The author (1696-1748) author of the book “Dvar Moshe”, a three-part responsa, who conducted halachic correspondence with great Rabbis.
