Di Geshichte Phon Alibe [The Story of Alibe]. By Moshe Smilansky. Translated into Yiddish by M. Lipsan.
A novel which took place in the city of Haifa on the slopes of Mount Carmel, written in a Zionist ambiance. Two parts bound together.
Before us is a volume with cutouts from newspapers from which Smilansky’s work was printed pasted in. He prepared his work for print in this volume, as an independent book. In the margins and on the cutouts are corrections and additions in the author’s handwriting.
Moshe Smilansky (1874-1953), a member of the First Aliyah, a famous Zionist leader, farmer, publicist and prominent Hebrew author.
60 leaves. The newspaper cutouts are pasted to both of each leaf. 20 cm.
Condition: Good. The biding is in poor condition. Wear in the margins of several leaves.
