Colorful Lithograph- the General "Torat Kohanim" Yeshiva - Jerusalem, 1920? - has not been Cut in the Printing - Extremely Rare
Printed lithograph with recommendations and a request for donations to support the "Torat Kohanim" Yeshiva of Jerusalem.
The lithograph includes an illustrated title page with golden inscription. On the next pages, the appeal of the Gabai and the managers of the yeshiva to "our brothers Beit Yisrael prisoners of hope" in a request to help the yeshiva.
Then there is the letter of the rabbis of the Badatz of Jerusalem, with the signature (lithograph) of Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank, Rabbi Yerucham Fischel Bernstein and Rabbi Eliyahu Romm.
Then, the enthusiastic letter of Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Ha'Cohen Kook (a letter in his handwriting, with his English and Hebrew signature and his stamp - lithograph). Among others, he praises the important yeshiva.
The "Torat Kohanim" Yeshiva was founded by Karlin Hassidim and with the encouragement and presidency of Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Ha'Cohen Kook. The yeshiva was founded in 1920 and closed down after a few years. The most prominent rabbis such as Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank taught there. Its students were Torah scholars who were Kohanim and they studied the laws of the work at the Temple and sacrifices.
The lithograph before us is one of the single items that survived from this yeshiva, which had existed for several years only and left only little historical material.
16 pp. The size of each page: 23 cm. Has not been cut during the printing.
Condition: Good. Stains. Tears due to folding.
