Kol Rinah Ve'Todah (a Voice of Joy and Gratitude), to the Miracle-Maker who removed from us affliction and illness. London, 5610 1849. After the cholera epidemic.
Hebrew and English page by page.
A rare booklet. Does not appear in libraries in Israel. Is not listed by the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book and has never been seen in auctions!
A rare, interesting item of the history of the Jews of England.
On Tishrei 1849 a special prayer was said in the Ashkenazic synagogues of London "for stopping the cholera". The prayer before us was most likely said on Thursday, Rosh Chodesh Kislev 5610.
The booklet contains a (vowelized) prayer with its English translation.
A unique prayer that was written especially for the event. The prayer booklet also contains Psalms and other prayers. It is also written that the Hallel was also said and after it, an additional special prayer that was written for the event.
