Torah Nevi'im Ketuvim - Antwerp, 1566 - Two Impressive Volumes with Ancient Leather Bindings - Extremely Rare!

Four parts with separate title pages for each part, in two volumes. Volume one: Torah and Early Prophets. Volume two: Later Prophets and Ketuvim.
Colophon: ‘Printed by and in the house of Christophoro Plantin with the printing press and letters of Bombirgi and completed in the month of Tevet 1566”. A similar edition was printed by Plantin in the same year, with the same order of letters but different pagination.

Part one: Five books of the Torah, Five Megillot. 275, [1] leaves, (page 244 and page [1] at the end of the Book of Esther are blank).
Part two: Early Prophets. 224 leaves.
Part three: Later Prophets. 238, [2] leaves ([2] leaves at the end are blank0.
Part four: Ketuvim. 252, [4] leaves (the last leaf is blank).

From page 252 onward, “Chart of Haphtarot for the entire year according to all customs.”
The title page of the Five Books of the Torah is in an architectural border with illustrations of plants and flowers. The other title pages have various illustrations of figures.

Condition: The two volumes are preserved in very good condition, with the exception of slight blemishes on the title page and the first leaf of the first section. Light, high-quality leaves. Both volumes are ancient, made of leather with various decorations, partially restored. The bindings are not matching (the binding of part one 17.4 cm., binding of part two 16.9 cm, similar but not identical).
