Hundreds of pages handwritten by Rabbi Aharon Yosef Luria. The content is ideas on Hassidism and God worship, Divrei Torah and stories about the Rabbis of Lachowicze, Kobryn and Slonim.
On the first leaf, a preface by him: "… the words of the copier with God's help Aharon Yosef Luria son of Rabbi Zvi son of Chana Rivka, I started copying on Rosh Chodesh Elul 5691 [1931] here in the holy city of Tiberius".
Some of the leaves are copying of writings found in the possession of the well-known rabbi Moshe Minder, the grandson of the author of "Yessod Ha'Avodah".
The first thousand sayings are numbered the rest are not.
Rabbi Aharon Yosef Luria of Tiberius (1894-1969), author of "Avodat Pnim", the firstborn son of Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Luria of Tiberius (1882-1952, one of the heads of the "Or Torah" Yeshiva), a leading Slonim Hassid of Tiberius. A great Torah scholar and devoted worshiper of God. He used to study at least 12 hours a day. when he was forty, after a visit to the Western Wall he stated that "he was willing to leave this world at any given moment". In 1929, the Rebbe of Slonim author of "Beit Avraham" came on a visit to the Land of Israel. Rabbi Aharon Yosef became attached to him and this period was the highlight of his life (as he wrote in a letter, that even since he met the Rebbe, he became a flowing well of water and started writing his ideas). During those years he also started studying kabbala.
