Megilah Case and Decorative Plate
A. Megilah case made of silver-plated brass.
Popular work, North Africa, the middle of the 20th century.
Engraved decorations of the Stone Tablets and a pair of stars-of-David on their sides. Above them, a Keter Torah and the inscription "Keter Torah".
A wood and boon handle.
The Megilah case stands on a 4-legged sculptured base. A star-of-David at its center.
Length: 28 cm.
Condition: Very Good.
B. A Persian decorative plate. Tin-plated copper. Engraved.
At its center, the Stone Tablets with a pair of lions lying at their sides. On the lower part, a star-of-David with the letter 'צ' (for Zion) and on the upper part a winged angel.
A peripheral engraved inscription: "Ve'Zot Ha'Torah asger Sam Moshe Lifnei Bnei Yisrael…"
Diameter: 22.5 cm.
Condition: Very Good.
