Binder of postcards from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, 1930s
Original binder with 8 photo poscards of the Hebrew University in its infancy. Published by the Agudat Shochrei Ha'Universita Ha'Ivrit B'Eretz Yisrael, Ezriel press.
The postcards depict the opening of the University by Lord Balfour, the main entrance to the University, the stage of HaMaalot theater, Beit Dovid Wolfson - the old building of the National Library, the chemistry and biology building, building of the physics institute, the reading hall in the library and the building of the mathematics institute.
The Hebrew University was established in Jerusalem in 1925. Here is a publicity binder that was published a few years after it was founded.
