This is a translated edition of the work that was published a year earlier in Russian in Berlin. The Russian edition was very popular so it was translated into a number of languages, including Yiddish. Many illustrations of the early works of the great Jewish artist with a deep analysis of the works. This rare work analyzes the works of the artist at a relatively early period, before he earned his worldwide reputation. Old cardboard binding, 31 [1] pages. 11 illustration plates. 26 cm.

The jacket title page features a picture of Rembrandt made by Prof. A. L. Pasternak, the border and letters were created by artist Rubin. Yavne publishers planned on publishing a series of books about artists. Each book was to be written by an expert on that particular artist and his works. This book was the first in the series. The preface includes a recommendation from H. N. Bialik for the author of the work, A.L. Pasternak, who was an expert in print reproductions of masterpieces of art. The book includes 30 high-quality pictures of Rembrandt's works. 49 pages, [1] XI pages 29 plates 17 16 leaves. 24 cm.
Illustrated, detached soft cover, the spine is peeling.
