Monumental work by Michael Zohary, published by the Israeli Academy of Sciences and Humanities. Four sections in eight volumes of a comprehensive study of the vegetation of Palestine.
The first volumes of this grandiose project regarding the flora of Palestine was published in 1966, and publishing continued for about twenty years. Every few years additional volumes were printed. Here is the complete set [Volume One-Volume four: 1966, 1972, 1978, 1986].
Two volumes for each section. One volume features the text and scientific study and the second volume features the plates - hundreds of illustrations of the described flora [Hebrew and English].
Magnificent cloth bindings.
