Impressive silver plaque shaped as a postcard. An engraved greeting for the birthday of Ferenc Hevesi (1898-1952), the head of the Neolog synagogue on Dohany Street, Budapest, 1938.
The Dohany Street Synagogue was the largest in Europe and served the Neolog community of Budapest.
Engraved silver.
On one side of the plaque, a Hungarian greeting for the 40th birthday by Vilmos Weber: "My beloved! For your 40th birthday, wishing you successֳ‚ֲ… Vilmos Weber, Budapest, June 15, 1938".
The reverse side of the plaque is shaped as a postcard, with the engraved names and address of the addressor and addressee. In addition, a delicate engraving of a Hungarian postage stamp and postmark of Budapest.
10x13.5 cm.
